PRP& PRF
PRP and PRF treatments use your own growth factors to support skin rejuvenation and hair restoration. Standalone treatment is $250, with microneedling + PRP available at $450.

Regeneration driven by
your own biology
PRP is often selected by clients who want a more natural treatment path, either for skin quality, hair support, or as an enhancement to microneedling.
Skin rejuvenation
Helps improve overall tone, recovery, and long-term skin vitality.
Hair restoration support
Often used to support thinning areas when clients want a regenerative option.
Natural treatment path
Uses your own concentrated platelets rather than relying on synthetic fillers.
Microneedling enhancement
Pairs well with collagen-induction treatments when a stronger regenerative plan is needed.
Low-allergy profile
Because the material comes from you, compatibility concerns are minimal.
Long-view results
Best for clients comfortable with gradual improvement rather than instant change.
A regenerative tool
with clear expectations
PRP is not an overnight treatment. Helen frames it correctly from the beginning: you are stimulating repair and recovery, so visible change develops over weeks and months rather than immediately after the appointment.
That slower timeline is exactly why many clients like it. The improvement feels progressive, believable, and rooted in skin or scalp health rather than a purely cosmetic shortcut.
PRP uses your own blood, so there is no synthetic additive, no filler, and no allergy risk. Every appointment is administered by Helen Petrov, BSN, RN under the medical direction of our medical director.
Gradual improvement
Ideal if you prefer a regenerative plan and are comfortable building results over time.
Microneedling
A common pairing when the goal is stronger collagen stimulation and recovery support.
3 sessions
Most goals respond best to three sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, then annual maintenance.
$450
Microneedling with PRP is available when you want collagen induction and regenerative support in one visit.
Your own blood.
Your own repair.
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. It's made from a small amount of your own blood. Platelets — the cells your body sends to heal a cut — are packed with growth factors like PDGF, TGF-beta, VEGF, and EGF. When we concentrate those platelets and return them to your skin or scalp, we're triggering the same repair response that heals you normally, just in a targeted way.
The process is straightforward: a small vial of your blood is drawn, spun in a centrifuge for about 10 minutes to separate the platelets, and the concentrated plasma is applied back to the treatment area. No synthetic material, no filler, no allergy risk. Just your own biology working harder in one spot.
PRP is not FDA-approved as a product — it's a procedure using your own blood, so it's regulated differently. Clinical studies consistently show improvements in collagen density, skin texture, and hair density for patients with early androgenic alopecia. Results develop over weeks to months, not days.
A 90-minute visit
from draw to done.
PRP sessions are longer than most treatments because of the blood draw and centrifuge time. Here's what the visit looks like.
- 01
Consultation + blood draw
Helen reviews your goals, medical history, and any medications first. Then a small vial of blood is drawn from your arm — the same amount as a routine lab test, about 10 to 20 mL. Most people barely feel the draw.
- 02
Centrifuge separation
Your blood spins in a centrifuge for about 8 to 15 minutes. This separates the platelet-rich plasma (or fibrin, for PRF) from the red and white blood cells so we can work with the regenerative layer.
- 03
Numbing + application
While the centrifuge runs, topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area. PRP is then injected intradermally or applied during a paired microneedling session so it absorbs into the channels directly.
- 04
Walk out
Expect mild redness and a warm flush, especially if you combined it with microneedling. It fades over 24 to 48 hours. You can return to work, but plan around visible pinkness on the first day.
PRP works best as a series. Helen will discuss whether a single session or three-session plan fits your goals at your consultation.
Let the growth factors
do their thing.
First 24 hours
- Skip NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen) — they can blunt the platelet response.
- No strenuous exercise, hot yoga, saunas, or alcohol.
- Keep your hands off the treated area and avoid rubbing or massaging.
- Use only the gentle cleanser Helen recommends — no actives.
First week
- Apply SPF 30+ every morning — the new skin is extra sensitive to sun damage.
- Avoid retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and vitamin C for 5 to 7 days.
- Skip facials, lasers, and other in-office treatments for at least 2 weeks.
- Hydrate. Water supports the tissue repair you just kicked off.
First month
- Reintroduce actives slowly, one at a time, starting around day 7 to 10.
- Expect the first visible texture change around weeks 3 to 4.
- Book follow-up sessions 4 to 6 weeks apart if you're committed to a series.
- Take a simple before photo before each session — progress is easy to underestimate.
The most important aftercare rule is boring: skip NSAIDs for 24 hours. Aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen interfere with the exact platelet response you just paid for. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is fine if you need pain relief. Questions mid-recovery? Text Helen at (206) 739-7309.
Weeks to months.
Not days.
- Day 0
Mild redness
Skin looks pink and feels warm. If paired with microneedling, expect moderate redness like a sunburn that calms within 24 to 48 hours.
- Week 1
Quiet repair
Visible results are minimal — but growth factors are actively working in the tissue. Resist the urge to judge the treatment yet.
- Weeks 2–4
First visible change
Skin starts to feel firmer and look more hydrated. Tone begins to even out. Early hair restoration patients may notice less shedding.
- Months 2–3
Peak single-session effect
Collagen remodeling from a single PRP session peaks around here. Most clients schedule their next session now to compound the effect.
- After series of 3
Full results
A completed series of three sessions (4 to 6 weeks apart) delivers the best outcome. Annual maintenance keeps the improvement steady.
PRP results depend heavily on your individual biology — platelet count, age, general health, smoking status, nutrition. Helen will set realistic expectations at your first visit. For patients who want faster collagen response, microneedling with PRP combines the two in a single appointment.
Questions & Answers
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF treatments are regenerative options that use your own blood's concentrated growth factors to stimulate healing and rejuvenation. At Flawless Aesthetics in Renton, standalone PRP / PRF treatment is $250, and microneedling with PRP is $450.
PRP is effective for facial rejuvenation (the 'vampire facial'), hair loss and thinning hair, acne scars, fine lines, dark under-eye circles, and enhancing results of other treatments like microneedling. At Flawless Aesthetics, Helen Petrov offers PRP as a standalone treatment or combined with microneedling for enhanced collagen stimulation.
Yes, PRP is extremely safe because it uses your own blood - there's virtually no risk of allergic reaction, rejection, or disease transmission. Helen Petrov follows strict sterile protocols at Flawless Aesthetics to ensure safe processing and application. Side effects are minimal and may include temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at injection sites.
PRP results develop gradually over 2-3 months as collagen production increases and cell regeneration occurs. Results can last 12-18 months or longer, especially with a series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. For hair restoration, maintenance treatments every 6-12 months help sustain growth. Helen Petrov will recommend an optimal treatment schedule.
Most facial PRP clients see best results from a series of 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, then annual maintenance. Hair restoration patients typically follow a similar 3-4 session protocol, then maintenance every 6-12 months. A single session can show visible improvement for early skin concerns, but stacked sessions compound the effect and deliver more durable change.
The blood draw feels like a routine lab test — a brief pinch. For the treatment itself, Helen applies topical numbing cream for 20-30 minutes so the injection or application is comfortable (most patients rate it 2-4 out of 10). When PRP is combined with microneedling, the pain level is the same as standalone microneedling because the numbing is shared.
Both use your own blood, but they're prepared differently. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) uses an anticoagulant and higher centrifuge speed, producing a liquid with a fast, concentrated burst of growth factors. PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) uses no anticoagulant and a slower spin, producing a gel-like matrix that releases growth factors slowly over 7-10 days. Helen will recommend which fits your goal during your consultation.
The 'vampire facial' popularized in the media is microneedling combined with PRP — the same service Helen offers as microneedling with PRP for $450. The microneedling creates microchannels in your skin, then PRP (from your own blood) is applied and absorbed through those channels to enhance collagen response and skin recovery.
